Right, so I got this article in my feed from Slashdot a few days ago. Apparently Lars Ulrich of Metallica fame has admitted to pirating his own music. For years and years now, he’s been an ardent opponent of filesharing, but now he’s doing it himself. Hmmmm….
I’m not sure if he knows this, but IT’S ILLEGAL. And it’s UNFAIR TO THE ARTIST. Yet, he says he has the right to do so. Seriously. It’s in the article. Click the link I gave you. Naughty Lars!
Personally, I think the RIAA Gestapo should make an example of him. Lock him up for 15 years or so and charge him, I dunno, a million bucks. Anybody with me on this one?
I completely agree with you. Lars Ulrich says “if anyone should be able to download it for free it’s me”??? What about all the other Metallica band members? Don’t they deserve their slice of the pie? And I’m quite sure their record company will have something to say. (Not to mention they are such two faced so-and-sos when it comes to the whole filesharing in the first place…)
Go get ‘im, RIAA! He’s surely just as dangerous as those grandmas and seven-year-old children you go after.
